
While L faces the rest of the Task Force, Light kills Naomi Misora. L loses more and more of his men, and he’s forced to reveal himself. The FBI sends agents to Japan to help the investigation and uncover the possible traitor among the NPA, but Light takes them down one after the other. While he does gain followers, he also makes some enemies, obviously due to the fact that what he does is still a crime. Light takes on the guise of Kira, a name derived from the English word Killer. He achieves this by utilising the power of the Death Note, that can take the life of anyone whose name is written inside it. What this means is him systematically killing anyone he deems unworthy to be a part of the i deal society he’s aiming for. The endeavour to change the world in his own image. Realising this, and the powers the Death Note as it’s called, Light sets out on a special endeavour. Powers that can have grave effects on the entire world, if in the wrong hands. Ī young genius, Light Yagami, finds a notebook that fell to Earth, and has incredible powers. Imagine a world in which supernatural beings, such as death gods, or Shinigami as the Japanese refer to them, not only exist, but also have a direct effect on the world of mortals.


So, for those of you who have never heard of Death Note, let’s talk about the story as a whole.
